Awesome way to break in the new reel. Nice flatty Jeff.

makobob 06-03-2015 06:02 PM

AWESOME Jeff, did you get a weight? Congratulations some great eats there!!

buddha 06-03-2015 06:30 PM

Robert never got a weight on it. Yes very good eats!

Funny how when I get a new reel I get some good mojo on the first day of using it.

Lexa 300 a nice halibut.

Lews BB2 Inshore Reel a nice corvina.

Now this Shimano Curado 201 I nice halibut.

My next reel might be a Lexa 400 so who knows what will happen with that!

We still on for the Asuncion/Abreojos combo trip in November? I haven't got all the details about accommodations down there.

I show 23 November through 3 December on my schedule, I do not believe you confirmed the dates. Visit Rossman then do Abreojos for a few. I plan on exploring that area the last week in JULY. As I told Ross I would visit him at that time, then check out Abreojos.

I caught it on a texas rig with a 1/2 oz. red bullet head sinker and a kvd grip pin hook.
http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Musta...e-MKVDGPN.html

This hook keeps the plastic on to your hook more securely especially when texas rigging.

Used a z man 5 inch jerk shad redbone color.

That has been my favorite plastic in the bay.
