17. The limit of fish per competitor will be eight (8) with no more than five (5) of any one species. Anglers must comply with DFG limits.

18. The following species will not be allowed for weigh in: tomcod, smelt, anchovy, herring, mullet, needlefish, midshipmen, lizardfish, squid, rays, skates, and sharks . All game fish will be accepted. There is a 12 inch minimum length for tournament weigh-in. Threshers will be allowed.
Threshers are not a factor as the May 20th monthly Bay tubers tournament venue is Huntington Harbor, launching from OEX Sunset Beach. This is the day after the WCW Kickoff, so hows about fishin your butt off that weekend.Twenty + pound halibut are not uncommon in the harbor. That is pointage :D Tourney starts at 7AM, weigh in at 1 PM, potluck and raffle to follow.

These monthly tourneys are usually nice and small, 20-30 people. Should be a hoot.

I won't be able to make this or the WCW kick off cause of my Gonzaga trip at the end of the month. These tourneys are always fun though. Good food, cool raffle prizes, and good company!

Do you have to be in a float tube? I went to the site, but the Magenta text on
black and the layout just about drove me nuts...

Just click where it says "new forums". It will pop up again, then click on it again. It started out as a float tube site, but most of us are in kayaks now.

The Bay Tubers are a great bunch of guys. The tourneys they host are fun, and the pot luck food is over the top. ;)
Laid back good times...

I love catching halibut on plastic. :luxhello: Espcially with light line and having to finesse a big one to the kayak.

May 20th for the baytuber? I'd like to go. I haven't fished HH or any of the baytuber events before, but both kids have sports activities this sunday.

It is looking like 30+ for this! The pot should be over $600 if you get big fish and big sack. Bring a live well as rule #29 protects the spottie resource. There are some big spotties. I found em stacked up a couple days ago. There have also been some legal halibut caught lately as well as sandbass.

Nice,Andy! Glad to see that you're figuring out the Harbour. It doesn't look like much, but HH is a good spot for halibut and big spotties. Looking forward to Sunday.

See ya tomorrow for WCW kickoff!
