Took the kayak out in Sagami-bay for a bit after work today. This point is only about a ten minute drive from my house. Got a chance to optest the repaired rudder and get a bit of fishing in. Also put the tracks on to mount rod holders/fish finder, replaced a bunch of hardware and bungees.

Only got this one aori-ika (big finned reef squid). Not huge but he was tasty! Sliced him up for sashimi while he was still alive.

Those are GearTracs by YakAttack

Can buy them on Kayakfishingsupplies.com or at both OEX locations.

Thanks! I was debating whether to post here or not as the site says basically for SoCal reports.

Yes, they are the Yakattack tracks.

I thought about trying longer tracks, but the 8 inch tracks were about all I had room for. They fit about perfectly.

It is called "Big Waters Edge". You just happen to be on the opposite edge. Keep posting the exotic, (for us), fish.

You ever see any other kayak fisherman out there? Any kayaks out there that are out of the norm for the US(Malibu, Hobie, Jackson, OK, etc)?

Viking is a very big brand in Japan.

As Patrick stated, Viking is big at the shows here, but I haven't really seen any Vikings on the water. Usually Hobie's. Last time I went out I saw an OK, and a lot of touring kayaks. Japanese seem to like the lightweight touring kayaks, easy for them to carry around, and have seen a few people even fish from them.

If you guys like, could post a few rockfish and different pics from the winter? Quite a variety of fish we get here.
