Age is just a number... how old?

Just read Deamon's (Jim) report of his nice triple catch (bugs, wsb, butt). At 52 he's glad he can still bring it. But maybe with a more few aches and pains.

I'd love to know the ages of those of us who brave the surf, crank the paddle/peddle, get up at dark and try not fall asleep on the ride home.

62 yrs. here, and hope to keep it going at least for awhile longer.

I'm guessing our youngest member is 16.
I'm guessing our oldest is 70.
I'm guessing the average age of BWE'rs is 36.

How 'bout you?

:goodnight:

Southman! I am impressed, brotha. Just gave me some hope. :luxhello: Jim

I try to go to La Jolla once a week, last year I could often make it twice a week. Mid week is my favorite because it's less crowded. I'm 65 and still want to Fish la Jolla till who knows. I have no plans to stop. It is the most relaxing adventure locally while getting a good work out and sometimes good eating fish. Tight Lines to all BWE members young or old.

At 52 myself, I have been fishing 3 times, worked 17 hours and slept 14 hours since 3:45am on Thursday. But I do plan on making up on the sleep when I am dead. Two skunks and a YT in Santa Monica Bay.

Gotta hand it to you guys, much respect. I'm 34 and although I have back issues can't imagine making it to 40. But it's encouraging seeing this.

55, sore and tired at the end of the day. you old guys are studs. :D

30 years old with 3 kids under 7. Quite frankly as strenuous as a full day of paddling/pedalling is, I still feel more energetic following a day on the water than after a day chasing kiddos around.

Ummm...Yani-man...are those shorts see through? I'm just saying what others are too afraid to say...Thank God it's the back shot and not the front...:sifone:Jim

Momo - if it's any consolation, I'm close to 60 and getting out there regularly. I too had back trouble at your age including a ruptured disc and started watching the heavy lifting and now my back rarely bothers me, if ever. The healing power of the human body is amazing.

One of the cooler parts of this sport is how many different types of people are out there fishing their asses off! I hope I can do what you guys do one day, it's amazing. 19 here and loving it
