BTW, launch was not open when we launched at first light, but was upon landing. Soft sand, I opted to not risk getting stuck.

Thresher steaks are awesome! Brought some to a friend to smoke and he can't wait to get more. He served a large party and everyone thought it was top quality stuff. A word for those that haven't brought one up green yet. They will slap you out of clear blue no where!!! I caught one across the chest and luckily had my life vest on. If it had caught me in the face it would have been a life changer.

Nice job! A buddy hooked one in Newport today, but broke off, and I have a suspicion that a shark might have gotten one of my baits too while driftingAttachment 19039

That's a bitchin OTW pic. Thresher is delicious btw, and very easy to fillet....you just steak the whole thing.
