I broke one like that but it was "my bad", got stuck in kelp with an iron and tried pulling the line closer to me to grab while pulling too straight up with the pole. As I tried to reach for the braid so I could wrap it around a rod holder and pull it out , I pulled just too much on the line and the tip being up high had too much pressure on just the tip, SNAP! I was pissed at myself for just being in a hurry. The good news is the replacement Tiger rod has been slaying the yellows and has such killer pulling strength.

Where did you get the replacement and was it discountedin any way?

Sports Chalet has them at Midway Dr. or at the Mission Valley Store in San Diego. Ck online for the closest store and you can find out if they have it in stock. They are $65
